Collins O Meara Auctioneers have been trading since 2004 in Fermoy Co Cork. Since then, the firm has built up a good, professional reputation and provides an efficient service to its clients. In 2004, the partnership was formed between Richard Collins, his son Denis and Brendan O Meara. They amalgamated their agricultural property and general auctioneering business interests. Bridget Colbert is our full time property negotiator and manages the office on daily basis and Claire O Donovan is our mortgage advisor.

Richard Collins has been practicing as a licensed Auctioneer since 2000. He has also practiced as an agricultural consultant since 1964 and established one of the first private agricultural consultancy firms in the country, Farm Business Advisors Ltd, and the Accountancy firm - Collins O Brien. Over the years he has received a B.Agr.Sc Degree in Agriculture and also a B.Sc degree in Social Science.

Brendan O Meara commenced his auctioneering practice in 1967, whereby he became the youngest member of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute(MIAVI). He has redeveloped a number of sites in Fermoy, including Rathealy Heights, the largest private development in the urban area.

Denis Collins has worked in the family business since 2001 as an agricultural consultant, as a property negotiator and in valuations. He has a B.Sc.(Hons) degree in Agriculture and a Masters in Agriculture from Cirencester's Royal Agricultural College, as well as completing a 2 year certificate in auctioneering from CIT.

Bridget Colbert from Ardmore is full time property negotiator since the amalgamation in 2004. She specialises in residential property and previous to this, she worked for 4 years in property negotiations and in market appraisals in the East Cork area. She has a BA(Hons) Degree in Equine Studies from Warwickshire College and has also successfully completed the 2 year (IPAV) Certificate course in Auctioneering & Estate Agency from CIT. Claire O Donovan is our mortgage advisor and previous to this she was employed by Brendan for over 20 years. She has successfully completed the Life Assurance Association of Ireland’s foundation course.
